Profile: Paul Jackson
Paul started his IT career as a Business Analyst whilst serving in the Royal Navy, mainly working on new HR & payroll systems. Between operational assignments he moved into Project Management and then Programme Management. Initially trained in SSADM and PRINCE2, he finally "saw the light" after leaving the Navy and coming to work for Portfolio Software, when he was introduced to agile methods and SCRUM in particular. Initially employed in Portfolio to help set up and run the new IT & project management consulting division (epsilica consulting), he now heads up the software development team. Having spent 28 years in uniform, he says that his hardest decision of the day is choosing what to wear - but wearing jeans and t-shirts to work is great!
