Profile: Nigel Baker
Nigel Baker works as a independent Agile consultant and Certified Scrum Trainer via his company, AgileBear Ltd.
Nigel Baker was one of the leading Agile consultant and coaches working with BT - The largest telecommunications company in the UK. (BT is currently undergoing one of the largest Agile enterprise transformations in the world.) He has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Bristol in Computer Science.
His twelve year background in the IT industry includes roles as a Software Engineer, Project Manager and Scrum Master within tactical (RAD), waterfall and Agile project teams. Nigel has spent the last 4 years as an Agile consultant travelling the UK, Europe and the United States, acting as mentor, coach, trainer and change agent across BT's diverse sectors, combining this with external IT client and supplier work. Nigel is now using this experience to help mentor other companies through their Agile transformations.
Nigel's particular interests are in using Scrum in distributed environments, at an Enterprise scale.
