Profile: Anthony Heath
In his capacity as a strategic manager, Anthony has had great success implementing Agile project management processes and techniques to deliver high-performance development in a variety of organisations. Whether working for new media, or more traditionally aligned financial services companies, Anthony has increased capabilities and managed full linear, and iterative, projects over the project-lifecycles. He is experienced in both multiple projects and single programmes, which have at times seen him grapple with the complexity of orchestrating multiple functional units in across national and international locations.
While a strong proponent of Agile, Anthony has also had great success combining Agile project theory with traditional linear project management skills and Agile project theory. His hands-on project management experience is backed by the internationally recognised Prince2 and Iterative Project Management certifications. He is also an Agile Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Practitioner.
Using this knowledge and experience Anthony has mastered the delicate process of transforming businesses from the traditional Waterfall Software Delivery Lifecycle, to the more dynamic Agile Software Development process, using Extreme Programming (XP) and Agile’s ‘Scrum’ methodology. He enjoys providing the intensive coaching skills required in circumstances where Agile is first introduced to an organisation, as well as ensuring the provision of ongoing support and development coaching once the process has been embedded.
Anthony is an industry leader in the application and evolution of process management methodologies. To date he has put these skills to use in a variety of companies, from blue-chip insurance providers and other commercial services, to more hi-tech companies such as e-commerce software and applications, mobile phone services and the establishment of wireless kiosk networks.
