Learn the essentials of working as a ScrumMaster or Scrum team member in this course. While the Scrum Alliance provides a list of core concepts that must be covered in the class, each instructor creates his or her own material, allowing courses to differ based on the strengths, interests, and experiences of the instructor.

ABOUT THE COURSE

This two-day ScrumMaster Certification course will provide a comprehensive in-depth training in Scrum theory and practice, taught by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer who headed Yahoo!'s large-scale adoption of Scrum, and advises with some of the largest multinationals corporations using Scrum worldwide. The course will cover a range of topics, including how to do multi-location and distributed development using Scrum; how to do project estimation and delivery-date planning for Scrum projects; how to use Scrum in fixed-bid / fixed-date projects and services; how to scale Scrum to large projects; how to use Scrum in a CMMi environment; how to produce corporate business metrics in Scrum; how to plan and deliver releases in Scrum; and strategies for successful organizational adoption of Scrum.

ABOUT THE CERTIFICATION

All attendees who complete the course will become Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), and will receive the following from GoodAgile: a high-quality certificate (both hard copy, and electronic version); electronic copies of course presentation; the GoodAgile "Scrum Toolkit" (access to a selection of electronic Scrum tools, templates and other resources); listing in the Scrum Alliance's CSM registry; and access to the Scrum Alliance website's ScrumMaster restricted areas.  Attendees who are Project Management Institute PMP's are eligible for 16 Professional Development Units.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Pete is a Certified Scrum Trainer offering courses in India and Asia through GoodAgile.  Pete headed Yahoo!’s large-scale corporate adoption of Scrum, which now encompasses more than 200 projects and over 2000 employees in the US, India, Europe, and Asia.  He is co-author of The Scrum Primer (www.scrumprimer.com).

Pete is an honors graduate of Harvard University, and has spent the last 18 years building software and web products at global companies.  Pete spent a number of years as adjunct faculty at University of California Berkeley, most recently in the Graduate School of Business, where he received the prestigious Club 6 teaching award.

Pete provides training to a number of companies, including HP, Microsoft, Nokia, Infosys, Wipro, IBM.  During his Yahoo! tenure, he served as Vice President of Product Development for Yahoo! in the US, as well as Chief Product Officer of Yahoo!'s 2000-person Research and Development center in Bangalore, India. Pete is based in India and Singapore.
